Beautiful fall colors at the world famous Laceleaf Maple (Acer palmatum) Tree on a foggy autumn morning at the Portland Japanese Garden, Portland, Oregon. Originally planted in 1968, this tree showcases the eye catching shapes and colors of the Laceleaf Japanese Maple. The first time I was able to see this tree with my own eyes, I said to myself, "How can this be real? It looks like something from my imagination!" I can assure you the tree is real and seeing it in person is an amazing experience! Many people consider the Portland Japanese Garden to be one of the most beautiful gardens outside of Japan.
