Fine Art Limited Edition of 50 - Sunrise alpenglow illuminates Mount Hood on a frigid January morning. The previous day a strong winter storm dropped about 12 inches of new snowfall on the mountain. After closely following the weather reports which were suggesting the storm would clear out just before sunrise, I decided to get up early and snowshoe into this location. Luckily the forecasters were right! It was an incredible experience to see all of the fresh snowfall at White River Sno-Park and to watch the alpenglow light up the summit of the mountain. ©2011 by Scott Smorra
