January 2024: New Releases Gallery Update!

Happy New Year to everyone! I'm currently working on my largest release of new photos that I've done in the past few years. I have about 24 months of images to sort through, so it may take a while! Locations include: Oahu, Maui, Mexico, Arizona, Oregon and Washington. This release will include: aerial (drone), underwater, traditional landscapes and wildlife photos. Keep an eye on the New Releases Gallery to see the new work and thanks for following along.

October 2023: Cover Photo! - ONDA Wild Desert Calendar

My photo titled, "Stratification" was selected as the cover photo for the 2024 Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) Wild Desert Calendar. "Stratification" is the main photo for the month of February and "Frigid" is the main photo for the month of January. To support the important work ONDA is doing in central and eastern Oregon, please consider purchasing a calendar. The photos are absolutely beautiful and for $15, I feel the calendar is a great value.

My photo titled, "After the Storm" was selected as the winner of the Waters category of the 2023 Oregon Wild Outdoor Photo Contest! “Tangible Silence” was also selected as a runner up in the Wildlands & Forests category. The winners will be officially announced at the Call of the Wild event in Portland on October 13th.

July 2023: Book Publication - Journey Into the Wild

Journey Into the Wild Book Publication

"Veratrum and Wildflowers" was published in the book titled, "Journey Into the Wild, Celebrating Nature's Best Photography." The book is a compilation of the best images submitted to the Nature's Best Photography International Awards. Since the competition started in 1995, over 500,000 images have been submitted by over 10,000 photographers. Having the image published in this book is quite an honor!

July 2023: Best Photography Awards Jury Member

I'm going to be a jury member for the Nature category of the 2023-24 Best Photography Awards! The Open Call for entries started July 1st, 2023 and the last day to submit is April 30th, 2024. For the 2022-23 contest, images were submitted from more than 80 countries throughout the world. Overall winners for the BEST Professional Photographer of the Year and BEST Discovery of the Year will receive a trophy, medal, diploma and a winners kit containing prizes. More details will be announced soon.

November 23, 2022: Holiday Art Fair at Providence Portland Med Center - December 15 & 16, 2022

I will have my 10'x10' booth set up at the Providence Portland Holiday Art Fair on December 15-16, 2022. Hours are from 8AM-5PM both days and admission is free. The event is being held in the Social Room at the hospital and the closest parking is in the Glisan St Parking Garage at 4901 NE Hoyt Street, Portland, OR 97213. I will be selling a variety of ChromaLuxe Metal, TruLife Acrylic and matted fine art prints at the Holiday art fair. On Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4-6 PM, I will be hosting a closing reception at the Providence Portland community gallery. April 22, 2022: Coming soon! Gallery show at Providence Portland Medical Center

Beautiful fall colors at the world famous Laceleaf Maple (Acer palmatum) Tree on a foggy autumn morning at the Portland Japanese Garden, Portland, Oregon.

In June 2022, I will be displaying a collection of my very best work in a show called "World Wide Wonder" at the Providence Portland Medical Center Art Gallery. The prints will be on metal (Chromaluxe Aluminum) or face mounted acrylic in sizes ranging from 16x24" to 30x45". I really need your help to pare this gallery down to about 18-24 prints. Which photos do you think would look best as a large print on the wall? Please let me know what your top 5 or so prints are by sharing your thoughts in the comments. December 27, 2021: 2 Prints on Display in the Art Gallery at Providence Portland Medical Center


I currently have 2 photo prints on display in the art gallery at Providence Portland Medical Center! The Japanese Maple photo is “Pure Imagination” and the mountain scene is “After the Storm.” The prints look outstanding under the gallery lights and will be on display through mid January. I will also be having a full gallery show here starting in mid June which will feature 18-20 prints from my portfolio. More details will be coming soon!

If you are thinking about ordering a print during the upcoming Holiday Season, I would strongly encourage you to place your order soon. COVID-19 has severely disrupted the supply chains of many industries, including fine art printing. Everything from paper to acrylic to hanging hardware is in short supply. Print order delays have become more common recently due to these shortages. Since I want everyone to receive their print orders before the Holiday Season is over, I recommend placing your print orders soon. If you have any questions about print ordering, please contact me.

Today I gave a 90 minute Zoom presentation titled, "The Art and Science of Landscape Photography" to the members of the Film Pack Camera Club (Vancouver, WA) and several other Portland area camera clubs. I had a great time speaking with this large group of photographers.
