Fog winding through the Sandy River Valley near the town of Sandy, Oregon. If you are driving to Mt Hood from Portland, it's worth stopping at the Jonsrud Viewpoint. The views can be spectacular!
Sunrise light reflecting off a swirling lava pattern on the Kilauea 61G Lava Flow on the Big Island of Hawaii. The type of lava in the foreground of this image is called ropey pahoehoe.
I was mesmerized by the infinite number of textures and patterns out on the lava flows and I really enjoyed searching for interesting compositions.
