A summertime display of beautiful Veratrum and wildflowers in the Mt Jefferson Wilderness. I found this beautiful display of Veratrum and wildflowers during an early summer backpacking trip in the Mt Jefferson Wilderness of Oregon. Veratrum, also known as false hellebore or corn lily, is a plant commonly found in damp areas of the back-country. I was really excited to find this scene, since Veratrum and other wildflowers rarely grow in the same location.
Wildflowers (bleeding hearts) and spring greens surrounding Ponytail Falls in the Columbia River Gorge. It doesn't get much better than springtime in the gorge...electric greens, wildflowers and tons of water!
Peak spring greens surrounding a beautiful waterfall deep in the Columbia River Gorge of Oregon. Catching the greens at their peak is truly an amazing experience. The colors are absolutely incredible.
