A Note about Prints

I believe the best way to experience my artwork is by viewing a fine art print. Although the online images are beautiful, there is simply no comparison to a fine art print hanging on the wall. In today’s fast paced digital age, there is something special about slowing down and exploring the details of a large fine art print. I often feel like I could just walk right into the scene displayed on the print and I’m certain you will feel the same way. My prints are made using the highest quality materials available, so that you and your family can enjoy my artwork for many years to come.

Fine Art Prints

Fine art prints provide a traditional way to enjoy the beauty of my artwork. These prints are made on Canson Baryta Photographique inkjet paper, using Epson printers with Ultrachrome K3/vivid magenta inks. This paper and ink combination is certified by the Wilhelm Imaging Research Institute to last for at least 99 years without signs of aging when properly displayed (framed behind UV protective glass or acrylic). I sign all prints with an acid free pen on the white border directly below the image.

Optional Matting/Mounting for Fine Art Prints

For the 8x10”, 12x18” and 16x24” fine art prints, I offer mounting (conservation foam core board) and mating (conservation Spanish White colored single mat, or black colored single mat for night images). I sign all prints with an acid free pen on the white border directly below the image and sign the mat in pencil directly below the image. Custom mats are not available at this time. I do not offer any framing services at this time.

Canvas Gallery Wraps

Canvas gallery wraps are an excellent display option for my images. They have a wonderful richness and show off the subtle details of my work. Canvas prints made using matte canvas and are laminated with a waterproof UV matte finish for maximum protection. These canvas gallery wraps are delivered ready-to-hang and eliminate the cost matting and framing a traditional fine art print.

Metal Prints

Metal prints display my images with a modern style and amazingly rich colors. These prints start with a specially coated sheet of brushed aluminum and the dyes are then infused directly into the metal. This process creates beautiful images with incredible depth and vibrance.  These prints are durable and long lasting and can even be cleaned with a soft towel.  On the back of the metal print, a 1” aluminum subframe is added to make the print appear to float off the wall. These prints are delivered ready-to-hang and eliminate the cost matting and framing a traditional fine art print.

Acrylic Face Mounts

Face mounted photographs have amazing clarity and depth. The acrylic face mount starts with a Lumachrome print, which is then mounted directly to a sheet of crystal clear acrylic. A white Dibond backer and aluminum subframe are then added to float the print off the wall. Acrylic has different light penetration and refraction properties, which leads to more vibrant and sharper photos than photos displayed behind traditional glass. The final products are exhibition quality and are absolutely stunning to see in person. These prints are delivered ready-to-hang and eliminate the cost matting and framing a traditional fine art print.

Choosing a Print

When you are going through the process of selecting a print, it’s a good idea to think about where you will display the print and the lighting in that area. Proper lighting is necessary to fully appreciate all of the details in my prints. Lighter images will likely work best in darker rooms. If you select an image from my, “Dark of Night” gallery, adequate lighting is very important. If you have any questions about print selection or lighting, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Print Care

To ensure the longevity of my art, there are a few things to consider when displaying a print. First, the prints should be displayed in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. Second, direct sunlight should be avoided, since direct sunlight can cause prints to fade. If a loose fine art print is ordered, it should be matted and framed as soon as possible to protect it from environmental effects and to prevent scratching the delicate print surface.

My Warranties

I stand behind the quality of all of my prints and I guarantee that you will be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with a print for any reason, you can return it for a refund or exchange it for another print for up to 30 days after delivery (you pay return postage). If a print arrives damaged, please let me know as soon as possible and I will exchange it without question. All returns and exchanges must be in as-received condition, and be shipped in the original or similarly durable and insured packaging.
